I've fallen behind on blogging and for that I apologize! I am working frantically to catch up before I leave for my work trip to Las Vegas next week. This little bundle of joy was blissfully unaware of the happenings around him. He slept (and snored) through most of the session...gotta' love that! Congratulations to the "B" family on their newest addition.
I love it when clients walk into the studio and exude nothing but happiness. That was definitely the case with Miss Courtney. This aspiring actress/singer not only has a bubbly personality, she also has ambition galore. A great combination if you ask me! With graduation just a few short months ahead, I believe Courtney is more than ready to hit the real world!
And a sample of one of the many new products I'll be offering this year!

Well...it's a new year and what better time to launch a few new elements of my business. I'd first like to unveil my new "look". With the opening of The Loft in beautiful downtown Hudson, Wisconsin in the past year I had very little time to devote to my web-site. The new logo allowed me an opportunity to tap into my love for graphic design to create something I feel reflects my photographic style.
And...calling all Twin Cities High School Seniors! I am thrilled to announce the launch of my new web-site just for you. My senior photography business is something I am truly passionate about and I look forward to working with you!
I'm very excited about these changes to my business and look forward to a wonderful 2008.
Anyone who knows me will tell you that the shoot I'm about to showcase was right up my alley. Lots of fun clothes, a beautiful boutique, a beautiful subject...who could ask for anything more?! Miss Lindsey lives and works in L.A. and was in need of a few shots for her portfolio. Needless to say, we ended up with more than a few shots, but I simply couldn't resist. Best wishes to you on your upcoming ventures Lindsey! .
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday season. I'll be taking a two-week vacation to visit my family and will answer all e-mails and phone calls when I return. In the meantime, I'd like to share a slideshow I made showcasing the clients I had the joy of working with over the past year. Just click on the image below to view the slideshow.

I just wanted to send a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Miss Brittany. I featured her on the blog back in August and look at her now! One of her photos appeared in an advertisement for La Rue Marche in the December issue of the Minneapolis/St. Paul magazine. Something tells me this is just the beginning for this beautiful young lady. Congratulations Brittany!
Over the past few years I've had several opportunities to work with this family. However, our past sessions have always been focused solely on the little girl. This time her parents decided to take part in the photo shoot and I'm oh, so glad they did. Her parents have an amazing outlook on life and they both cherish their family above all else. What an amazing gift they are giving to their daughter!
On a sidenote: The mom donated her hair to Locks of Love just days after the session. Just one example of what this family is all about.
Oh, how I love this little boy's name...and the history behind it makes it even better. Mr. "H" (as I'll call him) is the grandson of a champion ski jumper. When pregnant, his parents were visiting the U.S. Ski Jump Hall of Fame and through reading some history of the sport they stumbled across the name. They mulled it over for a while and came to the conclusion that it was, in fact, "the name". Such a cool name for a cool kid!
At 6 months old, baby "C" is already a mover and a shaker. I was shocked to see just how well this little tyke gets around. Not only is he crawling...he's pulling up to and walking around furniture!! Time will tell where all of that evergy will take him. Will he be a rocker? Or will he follow in Dad's footsteps? Either way his parents will always be his #1 fans! Rock on, little man!

After months and months of planning, gathering & creating, I am very proud to announce the official opening of "The Loft". This space does NOT mean I will be giving up on-location photography. It simply allows me an opportunity to shoot indoors if needed and it also gives me a spot to meet with clients. I am very excited about this new venture and I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of you who have sent notes of congratulations.

Tim & Kerri...such an amazing couple. One of the things that struck me most throughout this wedding was the sense of community shown by all of their friends and family. There was hardly a pew empty in the church and the reception hall was filled to the brim. Having spent the day with them it was so obvious that friends and family mean the world to Tim & Kerri. I wish you both the very best! Congratulations!
